The rule of the game is:

The objective of the game is to form weird phrases that seem to have no meaning at all - and which do usually have no meaning at all - although, when pieced back together, it might form a very funny but refreshing 'story'.

The contributors to the story were given rules of posting 3 words at a time, and to wait for another person to post before being able to post again. Those are the only two rules for the game, meant to give a chance to everybody, and to prevent one person only from spamming the whole thread - it wouldn't become fun anymore to some other solitary poster to just add any oh-so-unexpected twist to the story.
